This week we will be looking at technology in learning as well as designing for interaction – two important considerations for your final interactive learning resource. It is important to go through the content and activities to ensure your plans encompass these key influences on technology-mediated learning.
Technology in Learning
- Read the post: Starting to Think About Technology in Learning including Chapter 7 of Teaching in a Digital Age,
- Read the post: Platforms for Learning
- Read the post: Promises and Perils of Technology
- Read the post: Social Media
Designing for Interaction
- Read the post “Interaction”
- Read the post “Our Need to Interact,” including Chapter 10.6 Interaction: Teaching in a Digital Age,
- Read the post “Assessing Interaction“
- Craft your final Blog Post 4 entry based on one of the two available prompts – using video for interaction or using H5P for interaction. Complete this final post by Monday, June 15th. Make sure you use the title Post 4.
- Please comment on the blog posts of your learning pod members and/or your fellow students (minimum 3 throughout the term)
- Meet with your Learning Pod to continue drafting your Interactive Learning Resource, focusing on the alignment of learning outcomes and activities/assignments with the affordances of technology and interaction design.
- Provide a draft link to your group’s interative learning resource to the “Learning Resource Draft for Peer Review” Google Doc (don’t worry if it is not ready it can be at any draft stage!) by Monday, June 15th as we will need to facilitate the peer review process (more on that later).
