After visiting kemp lake I visited Porier Lake. I made the short drive over to Porier Lake. This lake has both rainbow and cutthroat trout, It may very well have some bass but Ive never seen them there. I had pretty high hopes for this spot as when I got there an eagle was circling overhead hunting for fish. This lake has two docks but only one really worked for fly fishing as the other was tucked into the tree line, and I would have likely got my line snagged repeatedly. There was also a sign at the dock stating 2 trout per person so I thought there must be a decent amount in there. I stayed for about 45 minutes and was once again left empty handed. I did get some cool videos of my casting on my go pro that give a pretty cool angle of the motion and technique. Next time I plan to research what bugs are out and match my fly to them. I also plan to research what time is best to catch trout.
I had another video but WordPress keeps crashing dude to the file size and video quality, even typing this sentence it has crashed 3 times.
