I chose to handwrite this blog post intentionally. My time presenting at WestCAST during reading break was very impactful as an educator. As I reflect on my time in Manitoba and what I observed about reconciliation in education, it felt important to slow down. Handwriting invites thoughtfulness and resists the speed of typing and the ease of editing. Reconciliation itself is not quick or polished work but requires care, reflection, and presence. Putting pen to paper felt like a small but meaningful way to honour that process before sharing these reflections more widely.
