For this week:

Reflective Blog Posts:

  • You can start to post reflection posts to curate your learning from this course. Make sure to review What Makes a Good Blog Post (found under Technology Competencies/Social Media menus).

Inquiry Blog Posts:

  • When it comes to documenting your inquiry for Assignment 1, review the sample inquiry offered by the PSII School for steps of inquiry. You can use their inquiry template to support your process. This does not need to be submitted, but as a scaffold for you.
  • To help you with developing questions for inquiry, consider springboard questions.

EdTech Group Project:

  • Add your group project topic idea to the pod – and add your own personal inquiry topic there for yourself as well, while you’re there. The Pod sign-up is linked on our Social Spaces page.

Inquiry:

  • Review our blog post on Jeff Hopkins & PSII
  • Watch guest talk with Jeff Hopkins re: Inquiry – we can plan an in-person site visit as well.

  • Scan/know about the Master’s project by Christopher Lister on Inquiry/Genius Hour in the elementary intermediate classroom. The reproducibles at the end are the learning plan alternatives to lesson plans. This was done collaboratively with Suzanne Bartel. You can find her Master’s project as well in UVic Space, but her literature review focused on self-regulated learning.

Accessibility and Accommodations:

  • I also added an accessibility resource by UVic to our Support page (under About) to help folks learn more about their rights and options pertaining to accommodations.
