The Interactive Learning Resource project is a cooperative learning activity which you will complete with the Learning Pod group you formed in Week 1. This assignment is worth 40% of your final grade. Like all assignments in this course, this assignment will be created as a blog post. One member of your group will submit the link to your work on Assignment 4 on Brightspace.

Your task in this assignment is to keep working with your Learning Pod/Group to create an interactive learning resource based on your Learning Design Blueprint. It could be completed as a post in one of your WordPress sites or you could decide to create another site (such as Wix or Google) to host it. Your learning resource will be reviewed by your peers before you submit it to your instructor during the final week of the course, and they will need to be able to complete the activities as if they were actual learners in your target audience. The resource could be self-contained or it could be imagined as a module in a larger course.
You must include the following in your resource:
- Overview
- A concise definition of your topic, citing at least two academic sources.
- A description of your learning context and learners e.g., educational background (high school students, post secondary students, professionals) age, interests, lifestyle, prior knowledge and experience, and any specific learning needs
- A description and rationale for the learning theory behind your design choices (behaviourism, cognitivism, or constructivism). Why is this theory a good fit for your topic?
- A description and rationale for the learning design you chose (inquiry, project-based, direct instruction, etc.). Why is this learning design effective for this topic and context?
- Your plans for designing for the inclusion of diverse learners using UDL and CAST principles.
- A rationale for your technology choices.
- Your Learning Resource should include:
- Learning objectives that address each of your essential questions.
- Resources and content that prepare students for their assessment activities (content can be in point form)
- An assessment plan, including formative and summative assessment activities, how you will provide feedback and how you will determine a learner’s final standing in relation to the outcomes (e.g., a proficiency rating, complete/incomplete, a percentage, or a letter grade). How confident can you be in your determination that the outcomes have been met?
- An interactive learning activity for each learning objective/subtopic
- A bibliography or reference list of all resources cited.
- Use whatever citation format you are comfortable with (APA, MLA, etc.), but please be consistent throughout. If you used any Generative AI tools, these must also be cited.
