Great progress yesterday as we solidified our groups and topics for the presentation assignment later this term. I hope you all find yourself in a good position to start working collaboratively you dig into the research. Remember that you are free to use Mattermost and Zoom if needed to connect with team members. Google Slides or Documents may also be helpful as you start putting ideas down. I am happy to help so please do reach out if you have questions or thoughts as you move forward.
Couple things to review for next week:
- Consider questions for our guests next week. Hayley and Joanna are graduates of the EdTech MEd program in 2021 and worked collaboratively to create their open text, Facilitating online learning with the 5 R’s: Embedding Indigenous pedagogy into the online space
- Be inspired by the blog feed on our website and see what some of your peers have been sharing.
- You might find the Contact North Webinars (Select: Past Recorded Webinars) useful for locating resources for your presentation, should there be one related to your area of interest, or as an example of how you might structure an academic presentation.
- I told you I would share some of the resources about Google in education, you may find these articles of interest:
Readings for Next Week
I have two readings that I hope you will find worthwhile for review. They both deal with technology integration and offer models and frameworks to think about learning design. SAMR focuses on how technology can transform learning tasks and outcomes, while TPACK focuses on how technology can support pedagogical strategies and content delivery. You may be familiar with these already, but I hope these two articles provide a useful refresher.
