In your Learner Profile, please include the following:
- A brief description of who you are as a person. This can include your name, details about your background, your hobbies and interests, or any other aspects of your identities that you would like to share with me and your classmates.
- A brief description of who are as a student and what brings you to this class. This can include your program of study, what you’re interested in studying, how this course fits in with the rest of your studies, your preferred course formats, examples of good learning experiences you’ve had and why they worked for you, and anything else you would like to share about your experiences as a student
- A brief reflection on your own beliefs about education. What is the purpose of education? What role do/should students play in education? What role does/should the instructor play in education?
- A list of 3-5 goals for this course. Consider what are you hoping to learn from the course? Do you have a specific question about Open and Distributed learning that you are hoping to answer? What skills do you want to develop?
- You may choose to include a picture of yourself or an image that you feel represents you.
The format is your choice – you may choose to respond in text, through video, through a combination of visuals and text. Just make sure you are clearly communicating the information above.
