As we approach the end of the course, you may be wondering what a good final digital portfolio would look like. In this post and video, I will provide guidance. For the best overview, I recommend viewing this video.

There are two suggested options for how you could structure Part 1 to demonstration the evidence of your learning. Option A is to structure your evidence by outcome. Option B is to structure your evidence by activity and then connect to outcomes. (Hint: I have mentioned the relevant learning outcomes in each of my topic posts throughout the course).

Part 2 is more straightforward. This section is where you showcase your best blog post.

Since this portfolio is such a broad task, it will be assessed holistically. What I mean by this, is that I will examine all parts of your portfolio, and provide you with one overall grade based on the UVic Undergraduate Grading Scale. For example, “A grade of B+, B, or B- is earned by work that indicates a good comprehension of the course material, a good command of the skills needed to work with the course material, and the student’s full engagement with the course requirements and activities.” I will not break your portfolio task into pieces to assess one-by-one.

Since your portfolio may contain screenshots of conversations and personal reflections, you may want to keep all or part of your portfolio private. If you do, you can make the page password protected. You have this option in the upper right of your screen where you Publish your new posts. If you decide to add a password, make sure you share it with me.
