Module 3 introduced the Universal Design for Learning Framework. This framework is often used as a key component of accessibility and inclusive design. Initially, UDL was designed as a way of making learning experiences more accessible to a wide variety of Disabled learners who may have different learning abilities or require other ways of participating in learning experiences. More recently, the framework has evolved to also potentially address other types of exclusion.

For this activity, you will reflect on the applications of the UDL framework to learning. Design or redesign a course using the UDL principles. You can either adapt a course that you’ve previously taken (please anonymise the course documentation by removing the course code, instructor details and other identifying information) or you can create your own micro-course on a topic of your own choosing.

Post an copy of the course outline/syllabi reflecting a UDL approach. This should indicate how you have provided multiple means of engagement, representation, and action and expression, both in the content and in the assessment.  Make sure to also include a short self-reflection on why you chose this activity, how it aligned with your learning goals, and what you learned through the critique of the technology you selected.
