Week 4 already! This week has been shortened for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (Weds, Sep 30), a day to honour Survivors of residential schools and reflect on the ongoing work of reconciliation. This week we’ll be exploring diversity and inclusion, a necessity of reconciliation. Diversity and inclusion is an enormous topic and we will only touch upon a bit of it from the perspective of education and apply it to PLNs and social media in your blog post and Learning Pods. Please take the time to self-reflect while you engage with this week’s content – your personal experiences are valuable perspectives for your blog posts too! Note: If any content, personal or otherwise, is uncomfortable to explore or discuss openly, please consider reaching out to myself or support networks.

A couple of quick notes: Save snippets from the content as you read, and keep track of where they came from. Do review the blog prompts before or as you read, but don’t read only to answer the prompt questions. You might miss something interesting that way.

Being part of a learning community doesn’t stop at sharing a blog post. It also involves engaging with one another’s ideas. You can learn a lot from each other by taking the time to listen, respond, and exchange perspectives.
