Hello everyone!

As we prepare to wrap up the course, it is worth thinking about PLN engagement.

Reflecting on the following questions could be a starting point for the session’s discussion.

  • How likely individuals are going to continue with their created content and their network?
  • Are the skills that they developed applicable in professional practices?

This week’s focus will be on delving deeper into the concept of the “network society.” This paradigm necessitates a departure from traditional models towards embracing a more intricate framework that intertwines economics, culture, and technology.

The reading, “From Information Society to Network Society: The Challenge” by Manlio Del Giudice from the book “Social Media and Emerging Economies: Technological, Cultural and Economic Implications,” will provide valuable insights for our discussions.

We will learn more about the subject by reviewing this week’s readings.  Please consider the following questions while reviewing the readings.

  • Using your PLN to engage business, career opportunities, and relationships.
  • Take your PLN from local community to global community.
  • Networking with a world view but focusing on local impact

Please add at least three annotations to the texts. You might annotate something that you would like to discuss more thoroughly, have questions about, or something you strongly agree or disagree with. You can also reply to the annotations your peers make, engaging in discussion as needed.

Each week, I appreciate you completing the annotations by the Tuesday before our next class.
