tl;dr

I hope that you’ve been having a great first week. It was great meeting those of you that joined our face-to-face session and I have enjoyed reading your introductions – if you have yet to share your introduction, please do so in Mattermost.

This next week we will be diving into some fundamental theories of multimedia learning. Learning these principles of how we learn will make you better designers of educational experiences. As you engage with the content, think about what resonates for you as a learner and what doesn’t. What seems intuitive about these principles and what surprises you?

Challenge A: Comics is kicking off this week. You can view the assignment description here. The first date to be aware of is Fri, Sep 12 for your substantive post.

Regular face-to-face

I would like to find a time that works with most people to host a synchronous session for our class. The goal is so that each week we can meet to discuss theories and tools relevant to our interactive and multimedia projects. (these classes are optional but highly encouraged)

Each session to be as follows:
~25 mins: a quick lesson on theory with discussion
~25 mins: open questions and project updates.

Note: I have set all of the times for next week, but they will extend to subsequent ‘Tuesdays’ or ‘Wednesdays’ etc.
