Challenge C: OERs
This Thursday, Nov 20 your final challenge is due.
Web sites are significantly more open-ended than the other media we designed for. Some considerations are number of web pages, what kinds of content to include, how may someone navigate the web site, what accessibility considerations are there, and so on.
For each consideration, I urge you to consider theories from class to backup your choices. Consider:
- The strengths of each medium (text, images, etc.) and how they combine (Theories of Multimedia Learning);
- Leveraging activity and deliberate interaction with your resource (Models of Active Learning);
- Accessibility – everything from practicality to deeper cognitive access and choice with Universal Design for Learning (Accessible Multimedia).
This final challenge truly brings together everything we have covered this semester, so let it show!
