We recognize that pivoting to online education is not familiar for many instructors in the Faculty of Education and the shift to online is also taking place in a very short timeframe. We would like to build a community of practice to support one another. Whether you are currently teaching in the summer or preparing to teach in the Fall or Spring terms, we welcome you. You may come with questions or problems to solve or you may bring solutions or exciting discoveries made in your practice of teaching online. We invite you to drop-in meetings with opportunities for whole-group dialogue followed by separate Theme Rooms moderated by one of the hosts of that session. You are welcome to join late or to move between Theme Rooms as you wish, much like an unconference.

The session and theme rooms are hosted by POP-in session designers: Valerie Irvine (EdTech Faculty), Michael Paskevicius (EdTech faculty), Katy Chan (TIL Senior Learning Experience Designer), and Kayla Smith (TIL Educational Technology Support Specialist). We will endeavour to invite special guests with expertise in the themes planned or requested. Sessions will be offered weekly, although please watch the Schedule page as these dates may be updated.

Who Can Join: Faculty, sessional instructors, graduate students, and TAs in the Faculty of Education. It is ok if you are not currently teaching, but want to join the community to learn.
