Thanks to everyone for sharing their research topic, problem, purpose and questions yesterday. I am very excited about the work you have planned! I hope you found it useful to articulate, gather feedback, and hear about one another’s work, even if your work is still taking shape.

Next week I will share some strategies for crafting the literature review. We will also talk about theoretical and conceptual frameworks and their role in research. You may find this blog post on theoretical frameworks helpful in preparation for next week.

No additional readings to assign, but make sure you review the ones assigned last week. I would suggest you spend your time in the literature related to your topic. If you are still not ready to wade into specific literature, you can complete the two scoping tasks as part of your research portfolio assignment; 1) review three journals that you have read or want to publish in and/or 2) conduct a review of doctoral dissertations related to your research interests.

TO DO: As you are reading articles in your area or reviewing journals/thesis, please seek to identify the theoretical frameworks applied. Take note of if, and how, they are used by authors in the research. We will discuss these in next weeks class.

Take care and reach out if you have questions.
