As we prepare to wrap up the course, it is worthwhile to reflect on PLN engagement.

This week, we explore how personalized learning networks (PLNs) help you connect your interests, experiences, and goals with meaningful learning opportunities, both inside and outside the classroom. The readings for this week highlight how learner-centered environments and technology-enhanced tools can empower students to take ownership of their learning, collaborate effectively, and build connections that extend beyond school.

The first article illustrates how a middle school used a personalized, learner-centered model to help students become active, connected learners whose interests guide their learning pathways. The second article examines how technology supports personalized learning by enabling tailored instruction, fostering engagement, and strengthening collaboration, while also drawing attention to ongoing issues of equity and access.

Together, these readings will help you reflect on how to build and engage your own Personalized Learning Network, one that supports your growth, amplifies your voice, and connects you with the people, tools, and communities that matter most to your learning.
