I hope you all are doing well as you familiarize yourselves with the course. Thank you for your contributions to the Mattermost group introduction post. It’s been great to learn more about you, and I’m looking forward to our learning journey together.

If you haven’t already, please complete the tasks listed in the welcome post.

As you may have noticed, 15% of your final grade depends on Community Contributions. This means your participation in activities will be assessed throughout the term, starting from week one!

Please form a learning group of four people for group assignments. Once you’ve finalized your group members, add your names to the sheet. The form can be accessed from the Social Space page. You can also use Mattermost to connect with your classmates and find partners for group activities.

This week you will learn more about Personal Learning Network. Please consider the following questions while reviewing the readings.

  • What does it mean to network using social media?
  • How are we motivated to participate in networked publics?
  • What are the risks & rewards of public communications?
