Welcome to EDCI 337!  In addition to being a sessional lecturer in the Faculty of Education, I manage the Digital Scholarship Commons in the University of Victoria Libraries and am the father of five wonderful children. I am looking forward to working with you this term.

My research interests include academic makerspaces, active learning teaching methods, flipped learning, multimedia learning and informal credentialing.

In the Digital Scholarship Commons, we assist faculty, students, and staff in learning digital tools and methodologies to help them pursue their passions and tell their research stories in engaging ways, in a welcoming, equitable and diverse environment. We also help the UVic community explore and express their ideas in ways other than text by making available digital tools like 3D printers, electronics kits, Virtual Reality equipment, and data visualization software, and teach individuals how to use those tools.
