Rich McCue head shotWelcome to EDCI 136 Lab B01! I’m looking forward to getting to know you and working with you throughout the semester. Here is a bit of information about me:

  • I am the father of five wonderful children
  • I enjoy playing soccer, riding my road bike, and building things
  • I  manage the Digital Scholarship Commons in the University of Victoria Libraries
  • I teach courses on Educational Technology: EDCI 336, EDCI 337 and IED 336

My research interests include:

  • Academic makerspaces
  • Flipped learning teaching method
  • Informal credentialling (or digital badging)

I have worked at the University of Victoria since 2001 and taught various educational technologies since 2005. In the Digital Scholarship Commons, we help the UVic community explore and express their ideas in ways other than text by making available digital tools like 3D printers, electronics kits, Virtual Reality equipment, and data visualization software, and teach individuals how to use those tools.
