However, we will meet synchronously online on a weekly basis to have conversations about the course, offer support, and build social relationships. Also, since this course site is open on the web (with a few things behind passwords for privacy), anyone may follow along and participate as much as they desire.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please don\u2019t hesitate to contact your instructor.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Integrated Goals for EDCI 569 and 572 &#8211; Students will be able to:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">become proficient with software and tools useful in the teaching and learning process across different modes\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">explore key concepts and theories around online and open education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">develop conceptual understandings for and necessary skills to critically evaluate the designs used at the intersection of modality and pedagogy..<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">understand guiding principles of design to connect and integrate the digital literacy framework<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">read and understand relevant research literature on online and open education and its development for the classroom environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">reflect on current practices and discover new perspectives on the role of modality and open in educational contexts.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">curate and disseminate findings from one\u2019s learning in open education contexts, where appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EDCI 569 &amp; EDCI 572 are offered from the Faculty of Education\u2019s\u00a0Department of\u00a0Curriculum and Instruction in the Educational Technology area.\u00a0This is an online course and can be completed without attending a face-to-face class session on campus.
