and &#8220;Collaborator&#8221; competencies by leveraging technology to share resources and improve practice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Task<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Criteria for Success<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Author a blog post at the end of each class throughout the course term.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Success is defined by meeting all five criteria of the single-point rubric:\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Concise Summary:<\/strong> Provide a clear overview of the technological or pedagogical topic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Critical Reflection:<\/strong> Conduct a critical reflection analyzing benefits, drawbacks, age appropriateness, privacy, security, equity, and accessibility for one or more of the pedagogies or technologies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Integration:<\/strong> Engage with the wider learning community or seeking feedback.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Multimedia Enrichment:<\/strong> Use of non-text media to increase engagement and clarity. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/IO63dLUMKtw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here is a video that demonstrates how to upload an image or embed a YouTube video in a WordPress blog post (opens in a new tab)<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social Writing:<\/strong> Effective use of hyperlinks and trackbacks to contextualize the work. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/X7yFuTp_lsc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here is a 1 minute video that demonstrates how to link to another web page or website in WordPress (opens in a new tab)<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Submit to Brightspace<\/strong>: Submit your completed critical reflection blog post to the associated Brightspace assignment. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Ry4QqjsRMIc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Here is a video that demonstrates how to submit your completed blog post public web address to Brightspace<\/a> (opens in a new tab). <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Allowed Uses of Generative AI<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You <strong>ARE ALLOWED<\/strong> to use Generative AI tools for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Idea Generation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Blog post structuring <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>(see the course <a href=\"https:\/\/edtechuvic.ca\/ied336\/generative-ai-policy\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"4022\">Generative AI<\/a> policy for more details)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Worth 66% of your grade (6% for each of the 11 required blog posts) Your blog and other social media will play an important role in the learning for this course and will act as a communication tool between you&#8230;
