A random draw will determine which day you present. Your instruction should include the following elements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Clear organization and preparedness in the instructional setting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clearly explain the &#8220;why&#8221; of the topic or skill in an interesting or compelling way to learners, possibly using a story as an example or &#8220;hook&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use at least one educational technology in your instruction or activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use at least one active learning component in your lesson with clear and easy-to-follow instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your lesson should be no longer than 10 minutes long, and if you like you can either: \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>include your active learning component in the 10-minute time frame<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Direct people to the instructions for the active learning component to be completed later<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>You will deliver your lesson in person on May 27 or May 28, and will post a link to the blog post with your lesson activities on BrightSpace by the start of class on May 26. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Allowed Uses of Generative AI<\/strong>:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You are not allowed to use any Generative AI tools to deliver your lesson (see the course&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/edtechuvic.ca\/ied336\/generative-ai-policy\/\">Generative AI<\/a>&nbsp;policy for more details).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Worth 17% of your grade Lesson Delivery You will deliver your 10-minute lesson to your classmates in person one of the last two days of class.
