Course & Assessment Plan
Course plan and assessment plan for the remainder of the term:
- Pods to meet with Valerie (recommended weekly, but one required for an assessment meeting on completion of group work)
- Learners to meet with Valerie (recommended weekly, but two required check-ins: one for formative assessment and one for summative assessment on closing of all assignments).
- Extensions to December 10 on all assignments
- Close-out of course requires a 1-1 assessment meeting with me. All feedback is oral in an assessment meeting. Feel free to book more than one meeting, if needed.
Book a pod meeting (20 minutes each) re: any group assignments you have (assignment 1 inquiry and/or 2 research presentation). I have made 5 weeks available (until Dec 10). If you have faced challenges in progressing through your inquiry project (assignment 1) so you can book weekly and be mentored from start to finish. Or if you already finished it, you can meet to review and rework. At least one meeting should be booked to do an assessment (grading) review of your group assignment with your pod for input only, so work as a team for your rationale for a grade. Any final grade for a group assignment is assessed individually in a 1-1 meeting.
- Spots are available weeks of:
- Nov 10-16
- Nov. 17-23
- Nov. 24-30
- Dec. 1-7
- Dec. 8-10 (short week)
Book an individual meeting (10 minutes each) re: assignment 3 (reflections)
- This is to support you individually as a learner, so I can review your reflection posts and give feedback and also to do what I do best, which is to help brainstorm and network you with resources and people professionally.
