Welcome back to Week 2 of EDCI 339!
I have received a number of responses for our Doodle poll for setting up an optional synchronous meeting each week for those who wish to join live for some lectures I record (don’t worry, you won’t be recorded) or for general synchronous drop-in and discussion. The length of time may vary based on plans each week, but based on the Doodle poll, this will be:
- Thursdays 7pm Pacific
- Fridays 1:30pm Pacific
I opted for two time slots to make sure as many people who prefer synchronous got the option as my research shows that only 20% of learners prefer asynchronous (not live) learning. The time may vary per session or per week. For example, if I plan to record a lecture at that time or if it is just an open discussion session. It could be up to 30-60 minutes. For this week, since Thurs/Fri has passed, I’ll record a lecture this weekend for review. Onward, I will typically add the recordings from the live sessions from Thurs/Fri to post on Fridays as the first day of a new week.
I’ll be adding content to this blog throughout the week, so please return and scroll down to the bottom to discover any new bullets or sub-bullets labelled “*NEW*”.
