To start I&#8217;d like you to listen to an audio introduction by my wonderful colleague, Kevin Alexander, to introduce the Principles of Multimedia Learning. I will then provide you with some readings and a video to give you a high-level view of each of the principles as well as some background on their origins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please try to apply some of the Multimedia Learning Principles we covered in our Sketchnoting lab by making sketchnotes of the key points in the following audio recording, video and readings (and beyond if you find it helpful). Note the following while you watch the video:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Try to sketchnote as you watch this video. Blogging prompts:<ul><li>Which multimedia learning (MML) principles did Dr. Ray Pastore now follow in his video about MML principles? Why might an expert not be able to follow all the principles when creating a multimedia learning object?<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Can you think of some pedagogies that the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/h5p.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">HP5 tool<\/a> might be helpful in supporting? <\/li><li>Which learning principles would a thoughtfully created H5P interactive video take advantage of or demonstrate?<\/li><li>Could you see yourself using H5P in your practice? If so, how might you be able to use it appropriately for the learners at the grade level you&#8217;re teaching to support a pedagogy you are using?<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Other thoughts or reflections on interactive and multimedia learning from any of these topics videos, readings, and H5P lab?<\/li><li>Please embed 2 or more multimedia learning objects in your post.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Group Assignments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Start working on Group Evaluation of a Multimedia App Assignment.
