This inquiry regarding how to succeed early into a teaching career has led me to learn many new things about education, and I hope readers have learned lots as well. But we are now at the end of the term, and all good things must come to an end.<\/p>\n

I believe my most meaningful learning came in the early weeks of my inquiry, when I explored the broader education system in British Columbia. Understanding the roles and responsibilities at each level has given me an excellent understanding of how new teachers relate to others within the system, and a good idea of how one can make meaningful change to the system.<\/p>\n

Another key learning I\u2019ve made during my explorations is about the importance of relationships. While I understood that it is important to be cordial with coworkers in any work environment, I did not truly comprehend the extent to which meaningful relationships impact whether one sinks or swims in teaching. <\/p>\n

By exploring what success truly means within the context of education, I believe I was able to better orient myself towards important career markers that define happy, strong, and experienced educators.<\/p>\n

Lastly, in my explorations of TTOCing, I began to understand how that role is different from any other role in the system. As a TTOC, you are often not familiar to the students, and that completely changes the dynamic in the classroom. There are also many responsibilities which are dependent on the individual school you are at that you take on and need to familiarize yourself with.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
