God morgon.<\/p>\n<p>My mum gifted me a book about Stockholm for Christmas \u2013 \u201cTop 10 Stockholm\u201d by DK Travel. For my sixth inquiry post, I thought I would go analog and do some good old-fashioned research on life in Stockholm. I can legally use thus because it\u2019s less than 10% of the source material and for educational purposes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>The Vasa Museum<\/strong> (Vasamusset)<\/p>\n<p>A great place to learn about the Vikings, the Vasa Museum houses a 17th-century warship. The ship sank on its first voyage, and was miraculously recovered from the sea floor nearly completely intact. A friend of a friend recommended the Vasamuseet to me way back in October at a Halloween party, before I was even sure I\u2019d be going to Sweden. It\u2019s interactive (I believe you can see a hologram version of the band perform!) and focuses on the band\u2019s music and legacy, which makes it a fun addition alongside the more traditional museums.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/learningwithmacy.opened.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10109\/2026\/03\/IMG_1853-1024x683.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-236\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">ABBA costumes on display at the museum, from <a href=\"https:\/\/abbathemuseum.com\/en\/exhibitions\">https:\/\/abbathemuseum.com\/en\/exhibitions<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>S\u00f6dermalm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S\u00f6dermalm is described as one of Stockholm\u2019s trendier districts, known for cafes, vintage shops, and a more local feel. I wrote about it in my very first inquiry post. Here are the places I didn\u2019t see in my travel book that ChatGPT said I can\u2019t miss in Stockholm:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Monteliusv\u00e4gen<\/strong>: A short walking path with one of the best views of the city. It overlooks Lake M\u00e4laren and Gamla Stan.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Djurg\u00e5rden<\/strong>: An island that\u2019s basically a giant green space filled with museums, walking paths, and waterfront views.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stockholm Public Library<\/strong>: Designed by architect\u00a0Gunnar Asplund, this library is known for its circular main hall.<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00d6stermalms Saluhall<\/strong>: A food market with traditional Swedish options.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kungstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rden<\/strong>: A central park that\u2019s especially nice in the spring (cherry blossoms!).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gr\u00f6na Lund<\/strong>: An amusement park that I\u2019ve actually heard about already, from another teacher candidate who went to teach in Nacka!
