This week I spent a lot of time looking into the Linkou (Lin-Koh) District in Taipei, where I will be living and teaching for 7 weeks. <\/p>\n
The Linkou District has a population of about 130,000 and has a relatively large foreign english-speaking community. When I am there, it will be very rainy and very hot. In May, the Linkou District typically has temperatures around 30 degrees celsius and frequent days of lightning and rain<\/a>. Humidity also tends to be quite high.<\/p>\nI spoke with a Taiwanese friend the other day and he helped me practice saying \u201cThank you\u201d in Chinese.<\/p>\n\u8c22\u8c22 \/ Xi\u00e8xi\u00e8<\/p>\n<\/video><\/figure>\n<\/p>\nMy friend said that it is very important that I say this a lot!
