However, what I found most useful was learning more about the First People\u2019s Principles of Learning. These principals have been embedded into all of our education courses. They are important concepts for every educator. As a non-indigenous educator I want to focus on integrating the First People\u2019s Principles of Learning intentionally and mindfully. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"181\" height=\"212\" src=\"https:\/\/sashatrickey.opened.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9711\/2026\/03\/IMG_0303.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-221\"><\/figure>\n<p>There are so many great resources for teachers that are created by members of local indigenous communities. The resource that I find myself repeatedly coming back to is the Syilx Sisters.
