This guide aims to foster an accessibility- and disability-confident Canada. You can access &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/employment-social-development\/programs\/disability\/arc\/words-images.html\">A way with words and images: guide for communicating with and about persons with disabilities<\/a>&#8216;.<\/p>\n<p>We also have a resource we have compiled on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edtechuvic.ca\/edci336\/2022\/03\/04\/assistive-technologies\/\">Assistive Technologies<\/a>\u00a0available for your review.<\/p>\n<h4>Video Resources<\/h4>\n<p>The video below includes reflections from four young people, who share their answers to the question \u201cwhat is accessibility?\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Accessibility means more than ramps, accessibility means different things to different people, everyone deserves accessibility; considering access in physical and online designs, allowing for and\/or providing reasonable accommodations, equal access and safe spaces. In this video, 17-year-old British Columbia resident Damon Kirsebom uses an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) device to type the following: \u201cWhen people see me typing, they always realize I am really authentically expressing my own thoughts.
