As a group, you will research and investigate the topic then prepare a short audio\/video presentation to share your learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You are encouraged to work in <em>groups of four <\/em>and <em>not overlap topics <\/em>with other groups.<\/strong> Each group will prepare one audio\/video presentation, that may include multiple inquiry questions, and group members can certainly take different positions and tackle different aspects of the presentation. Your presentation will take place in-person during our class time and will include <strong>slides<\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">PLUS<\/span> a <strong>digital artifact created by the group<\/strong> (website, video, podcast, screencast). The presentation will also be shared as a blog post on your Educational Portfolio and should include links to your presentation slides as well as the digital artifact created by the group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Your project should be structured around the following prompts:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>What is your technology inquiry question? (For example, What is the impact of screen time on children? How can one use Flipgrid in a classroom? What are some best practices in terms of copyright with regard to learning design?, etc.)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>What is the relationship of your topic to teaching and learning?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>What are the pros, cons, and risks?<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>What are some of the strategies, best practices, and tips regarding your inquiry findings?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You will use the same blog as for Assignment 1. When complete, you can post your resource can be copied\/posted across all group member blogs. The category \u201c<strong>edtech inquiry<\/strong>\u201d on your blog will be used for this assignment. Here is a <a href=\"https:\/\/learningcommons.yorku.ca\/groupwork\/planning-the-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Group Project Planning Guide<\/a> for you to review if you would like some guidance or tips on how to plan for a successful group project.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Questions to Help Inspire Your Educational Technology Resource Development<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet\" data-stringify-type=\"unordered-list\" data-indent=\"0\">\n<li>What is the role of cell phones in schools? What are the policies and research around this? What is my policy?<\/li>\n<li>How does technology help me in answering an inquiry question?<\/li>\n<li>Does Augmented Reality have a place in K-12 education?<\/li>\n<li>What are the strengths and weaknesses of Google apps for education?<\/li>\n<li>Can Kahoot be an effective formative and summative assessment tool?<\/li>\n<li>What makes a good classroom website\/blog?<\/li>\n<li>How can video recording and editing be used effectively in teaching and learning?<\/li>\n<li>What are some technologies that can help students with learning difficulties?<\/li>\n<li>Are there Ed Tech tools to make individualized learning easier to implement?
