This is when things start to slow down and you can fall into a routine of curating/reflecting on the competencies each week from the educational and technological competencies listed on your Trello board’s checklist. This week, you should aim for the following:

  • Consider making a blog post to reflect and/or curate the Social Media, Personal Learning Network, and Privacy & Safety topics. You can review the blog posts on our website related to these topics and consider including reflections from Jesse Miller’s talk today. You can check out Jesse’ website and connect with him on his Twitter account @mediatedreality. We have also shared his PDF file of his slides today on Mattermost. It’s not for public posting or distribution beyond our class.
  • Google yourself and clean up your digital footprint (and ask for help if you need it)
  • Review the Web Accessibility post and integrate this competency so you ensure your posts meet web accessibility guidelines.
  • Review the Critical Evaluation of Resources post and ensure you are choosing appropriate sources for your learning projects.
  • Review the theories related to technology and learning
  • Consider reviewing some of the resources for Jeff Hopkins next week:
  • Post an update for your free inquiry project.
  • If you are curious about how fair dealing applies to the Bernie Sanders image that has been circling the web this week, check out this article
  • Connect with your Learning Pod weekly to discuss the course resources, review each other’s blogs, and support each other
