After reading the posts in this unit, please complete the following task:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a post on your own blog and address\u00a0<strong>one or more<\/strong>\u00a0of the prompts below.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you do not simply restate the views of the authors of the readings but try to write about how you would apply what you read to your own context.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you use the category\u00a0<em><strong>edci335<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><em>Post 3<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0on your post!<\/li>\n<li>Try to include links to your peers&#8217; posts to comment on their ideas (at least one-two).<\/li>\n<li>Aim for\u00a0<strong>300-400<\/strong>\u00a0words in your post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Blog Prompts (choose one)<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>How will your interactive learning resource specifically ensure that the needs of all learners can be met?<\/li>\n<li>How can you adjust your planned learning activities to meet the needs of your learners if an unexpected event occurs? (for example, if a pandemic arises, and many of students must now work from home \u2013 how will you ensure that they can still learn successfully? What training will they need, and how will you deliver it, knowing they must remain at home?) This is a common discussion thread right now, as many schools and universities have made the switch to teaching online.<\/li>\n<li>Choose one (or more) of your planned learning activities from your Blueprint and identify any barriers to student success. How can you alter or adjust your current plan to reduce those barriers?<\/li>\n<li>Consider the learning environment for your current design. What potential barriers can be reduced or eliminated to provide more pathways for learner success?<\/li>\n<li>Think of a recent learning experience (online or otherwise) you\u2019ve had as a student. Where did it assume an \u201caverage\u201d learner? Briefly describe one or more ways you would redesign it using UDL principles to better support learner variability.<\/li>\n<li>Where do you see the idea of the \u201caverage learner\u201d shaping educational design? What would change if we assumed variability was the norm?<\/li>\n<li>Besides\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Curb_cut\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">curb cuts<\/a>,\u00a0there are many examples of universal design in engineering.
