Hello EDCI 335 students!<\/p>\n
My name is Joanne Kehoe, and I will be your instructor for the Summer 2026 section of EDCI 335: Learning Design for Technology-Mediated Environments, alongside our teaching assistant Houaida Bouslimi. We’re looking forward to connecting and learning with each of you this term.<\/p>\n
This is primarily an online asynchronous course\u00a0 \u2013 in other words, self-paced with some scheduled synchronous meeting times in the form of student hours. The EDCI 335 website<\/a> will be the main hub for our course content, whereas the D2L course shell will be the spot for announcements and to submit assignments. We will post Weekly Updates<\/a> at the same time each week both here as well as on our course shell \u2013 will aim for Monday morning and will include a \u2018check-list\u2019 of activities in order for you to keep on top of things.\u00a0 Please make sure to check this space and the class website frequently. As the course is compressed, there are quite a few things to do in a short amount of time!<\/p>\n The Brightspace course shell will be used for weekly announcements and submitting and grading assignments to keep that aspect organized, private and secure. The course outline can be found both on our course website<\/a> as well as here for your review. <\/a>Make sure you review the course outline carefully, note our learning outcomes and familiarize yourself with how you will be assessed.<\/strong><\/p>\n WEEK 1 CHECKLIST<\/b><\/p>\n Please complete the following tasks before next Monday, May 18th:<\/p>\n The first half of this week you should focus on course orientation, which ask you to:<\/p>\n This week we are also looking at the first course topic of Learning and Motivation.
